Welcome to SpyTag, the ultimate free-to-play multiplayer social deduction party game. Whether you are playing locally on a single device or online across the globe, SpyTag delivers a thrilling experience of mystery, bluffing, and teamwork. Inspired by classics like Spyfall, Mafia, and Werewolf, SpyTag takes the genre to the next level with real-time Firebase synchronization, six language options, and seamless browser-based gameplay requiring no downloads.
Game Objective: Players are secretly assigned a location (e.g., School, Hospital, Space Station) and a role. However, one or more players are randomly selected as the Spy. The Spy does not know the location. Villagers must identify the Spy through clever questioning, while the Spy must deduce the location without getting caught.
To be a successful detective, carefully analyze other players' answers. The Spy will usually give vague or generic responses because they don't know the location. By asking specific and indirect questions, you can expose the Spy's lack of knowledge. Pay attention to response times — the Spy often thinks longer before answering or copies other players' responses. If someone keeps parroting what others say, that's a red flag. Make your votes strategic: don't rush without evidence. A wrong vote hands the advantage to the Spy.
As the Spy, your most important skill is listening. Collect clues from other players' questions and answers to guess the location. In the first few rounds, speak as little as possible and observe. Answer questions with medium ambiguity: being too specific risks giving wrong info, while being too vague raises suspicion. If you think you've figured out the location, use your final guess wisely — even if you get caught, a correct location guess wins the game!
A good question reveals whether the Spy knows the location without directly exposing it. Examples: "Is it hot or cold here?", "How much time do people usually spend here?", "What would you wear to come here?" Ask trap questions — misleading questions related to the location can make the Spy trip up. Following up after someone's answer is also effective; real knowledge survives follow-up scrutiny.
In voting, evidence matters more than speculation. Mentally note each player's answers throughout the round and identify the person showing the most suspicious behavior. If there are multiple spies, target the most obvious one first. Coordinated team action is critically important — discuss your observations before calling a vote.
